New to North City: Vanity Hair Studio

After two years of planning, Vanity Hair Studio opened its doors April 1. in the space formerly occupied by ABC Communications, a phone part store.

"North City now has its first salon with a more urban feel,"said Lindsay Erickson, Vanity's owner.

Brightly patterned sofas and graffiti wall art decorate Vanity's waiting area. Shelves along the walls display bottles of Bumble and bumble, the styling brand Vanity uses on their customers. Bumble and bumble hails from New York's top salons and is used by hairdressers nationally. Their line includes shampoo, conditioners, oils, styling balms and hairsprays.

Erickson likes to make people feel attractive and inspire their confidence level. She wants customers to feel comfortable enough to come in, no matter what hair cut or style they want.  Erickson trains her two stylists to work as a cohesive team, so they can accommodate their clients's needs and achieve their desired style. Erickson's next-door neighbor, Steve Erickson, is her father and the owner of Easy Monkey Taphouse. Cross promotion from the taphouse has helped Vanity's business, Erickson said.

Vanity Hair Studio offers haircuts for the entire family. Some of their services include color retouch, buzz cuts, color blending for men and Brazilian Blow Outs. Men's haircuts begin at $28.00, women at $42.00.
The best way to book an appointment at Vanity Hair Studio is by simply calling the salon directly at (206) 402-4205
