New York Chef Highlights SCC Dental Hygiene Gala

Kurt Wilson, a New York sous-chef affiliated with notable restauranteur Mario Batali, will headline the Shoreline Community College Dental Hygiene Program's benefit gala on September 15.

The event will honor the ongoing graduation of dental hygenists, while also serving as a reunion for past alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. Money raised from the gala will go to fund dental hygiene scholarships, and enhance the dental hygiene program going forward.

Rod Heivilin will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the evening, while Chef Wilson serves food inspired by Batali's Lupa Osteria Romano restaurant in New York's West Village. Silver Lake Winery will provide an open wine bar.

Tickets for the 21 and over event can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/260399. Advance tickets purchased before September 4 are $85, with the price increasing to $100 thereafter. The gala starts at 6 p.m. in the SCC's PUB Main Dining Room.
