Pet of the week - Henry

Snatched from "death row" now ready for a forever home

From pound puppies to purebreds Patch spotlights dogs who enjoy what Shoreline/Lake Forest Park has to offer. In the case of this week's pet, Henry, he hopes Shoreline/Lake Forest Park offers kind residents, with big hearts and warm homes.

Henry is a wonderful 10 month old Poodle & Terrier Mix. All 8 pounds of him is REALLY affectionate and playful. His grinning “Disney” face makes everyone smile.

He is great on a leash and he loves to explore and go on long walks. He is playful with other dogs and looks forward to joining a home with another dog to play with. With his   gentle and sweet nature he would make an excellent family dog.

Henry was rescued by Ginger Luke's Death Row Dog Rescue from the death row in a high kill shelter in California. He was lucky, getting a one way ticket on Alaska Airlines to fly up to Seattle in the hopes of finding a forever home.

Shelters in California euthanize more than 2,500 dogs every single month. Henry was one of those found sitting in the euthanasia room waiting to die with other dogs who where either abused, abandoned, locked up, found tied up, found lost in the streets, surrendered or dumped off by uncaring humans.

Henry’s adoption fee is $ 595.00. This covers his travels, neutering, shots, deworming and flea treatment. He has been given a through dental exam, tested for Heartworm, groomed and microchipped.

Ginger Luke's Death Row Dog Rescue is hoping that Henry will find his forever home soon. They are also desperately in need of foster homes for rescues like Henry plus leashes, collars and crates for dog care.
