SHORELINE, WA - A brush fire destroyed a row of cars parked in a lot near the Shoreline Sears Sunday afternoon, according to the fire department.

The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. in brush near a lot of cars off Westminster Way in front of the Sears outlet. The fire destroyed four cars, but no one was injured. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze quickly.

The fire happened on one of the hottest days so far this summer. Small brush fires have been breaking out across Puget Sound, and fire officials are warning locals to be mindful about recreational fires and discarding cigarettes.
