Seeing A Lot Of Firefighters In Shoreline? It Might Be Training
Don't worry if you see a lot of firefighters along 15th Avenue in March.

SHORELINE, WA - Shoreline fire and other local departments will be conducting training exercises at an abandoned building along 15th Avenue Northeast throughout March. So keep that in mind if you happen to see a lot of firefighters along the 15000 block of that street.
Here's more from Shoreline fire:
We will be conducting more training during the month of March at a structure located at 15555 15th Ave. NE. in Shoreline. The multi department training is scheduled for March 2, 15, 26, 27 and 30.
This was donated to us for training from the North City Water District! We will be utilizing the structure to train on a variety of things such as a down fire fighter, search and rescue and ventilation. We will also take this opportunity to train with our neighboring fire fighters from Bothell and Northshore, Seattle and Woodinville Fire Departments. This will allow us to train in a realistic environment that is centrally located.
These drills will typically cause little disruption to neighbors, with some small amounts of “Hollywood” smoke drifting around the area of the training exercises. Our drills will begin at about 9:00 a.m. and conclude by 5:00 p.m. each of the days we are training. They will mostly be inside the structure.
The training site will not be accessible for non fire individuals for everyone's safety!
