Shorecrest Baseball Picks up Walk-Off Win

Four walks in the bottom of the seventh inning give Scots the win.

Kevin Millet drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning and Shorecrest came from behind to pick up a non-league 6-5 win over Stanwood on Wednesday night.

The Scots took the lead with three runs in the bottom of the sixth, but Stanwood tied the game with a run in the top of the seventh.

Shorewood (2-3) then drew four walks in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the win. It was Millet's second game-winning RBI of the young season.

Starting pitcher Connor Wilkinson threw five solid innings for the Scots, surrendering four runs, all unearned.

"This was a good come from behind win where we didn't play a perfect game, but came through in the end when it counted," Head Coach Alan Bruns said. "It's an inexperienced varsity team that's battled tough in every game and now looking forward to the challenges of league play starting tomorrow."
