Shoreline Fire Department To Host Children's Day Next Monday

The MLK Day event will introduce children to fire safety techniques and give them hands-on experience with fire equipment.

SHORELINE, WA - The fire department's children's safety center will host a drop-in session on Martin Luther King Jr. Day next Monday.

The session runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the firehouse in Richmond Beach at 1851 Northwest 195th St. Activities at the center are aimed at kids age 3 to 5. At the center, firefighters introduce children to concepts of fire safety, and let kids get hands-on experience with fire equipment.

The fire safety center is usually open by reservation only. The safety center is free to attend. Learn more about it here.
