Aug. 14
SHOPLIFTING: A suspect stole razor blades and over the counter drugs from Fred Meyer on Aurora Ave. N
SHOPLIFTING: A man and woman took a shopping cart with unpaid for items from Top Food & Drug at 1201 N 175th St.

Aug. 15
KIDNAPPING: A woman reported that a man threw her on the bed at his home on N 165th and tried to prevent her from leaving, twice before she was able to escape.

CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE: A woman reported to police that a suspect had used her child’s hands for masturbation.
ROBBERY: A man reported to police that someone took $20 from him at a Metro stop at N. 200th St. and Aurora Ave and punched him in the head when he tried to get it back.
Aug. 16
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSAULT: Police investigated a report of fourth degree assault at a residence on NE Perkins Way.
THEFT: A woman reported that she was parked in the lower parking lot of Richmond Beach Park and her purse was stolen from an unlocked car.
THEFT: A resident of the 1800 block of Ashworth Avenue N reported that items had been stolen from the home while on vacation. Police say the suspects likely had permission to be in the home.
FRAUD: Police investigated a fraud involving the victim’s social security number and address, which was used to open a pastry business and take in $4,300 in credit card deposits through Merchant Warehouse.
ARMED ROBBERY: A victim was stabbed in the course of a robbery while on the premises of Echo Lake Elementary School.
Aug. 17
CAR STOLEN: A man reported that his car was stolen overnight from the Metro Park & Ride at 1524 200th St. He said the car was locked and secured.
EMBEZZLEMENT: Lovers at 20019 Aurora Ave. N reported that an employee had shoplifted items from the store and voided transactions in order to keep the money from cash transactions over a period of two months, with a total loss of about $4,800.
SUICIDE: Police investigated a death in which the deceased apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
PROPERTY FOUND: A woman reported that her children had found a number of purses in dumpsters at the former North City Elementary school.
AUG. 18
VANDALISM: Someone threw a rock through the front window of a home on the 2300 block of N 188th Street.
CAR PROWLER CAUGHT: A suspect was caught and charged with entering an unlocked car and stealing items on 15th Ave NE.
CAR STOLEN: A 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback was stolen from the parking lot of the Highland Terrace Apartments. The car had a broken rear door lock.
PASSPORTS STOLEN: An unlocked home in the 2300 block of N 148th Street was burglarized and several passports stolen.
Aug. 19
ARSON: Two children were found to have started a fire while playing with a lighter and paper in the Linden Highlands Apartments parking lot. A bush caught fire.
ASSAULT: A man punched his wife’s coworker in the head over a possible love triangle in a parking lot on Westminster Ave.
