Shoreline Police Blotter: Explosive Device Used to Blow Up Mailbox
The following blotter items from Oct. 25- Oct. 31 and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

OCT 25
VANDALISM: An “X3” was drawn, in black marker, on the garage door of a house in the 17600 block of Meridian Ave. N.
PUBLIC INTOXICATION: A woman, who appeared to be having a manic episode, was drinking a beer in a McDonalds bathroom Ballinger Way N.

LARCENY: A white female with blond hair stole alcohol from a liquor store on Aurora Ave. N.

WARRANTS: Two people, with misdemeanor warrants, were arrested at the Rodeway Inn. They were in possession of a small amount of cocaine.
FRAUD: An unknown suspect used counterfeit money at a coffee shop in the 20400 block of Aurora Ave. N.
LARCENY: Someone drained the gas out of two vans parked in the parking lot of the Northwest Church of Christ. This is an on-going problem for the church.
OCT 27
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: A student at Einstein Middle School stole a master key, that unlocks the carts that store the school’s computers, and was in possession of Adderall.
FRAUD: An unknown suspect cashed several checks, totaling $9500, from two separate accounts.
OCT 28
LARCENY: Someone filled their tank with $79.32 worth of gas, at a Shell Station, then drove away without attempting to pay.
LARCENY: A man stole a computer out of an unlocked vehicle in the Aurora Village while two people waited for him in a car.
OCT 29
WEAPONS: A juvenile was in possession of brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia.
BOMBING: An improvised explosive device was used to blow up a mailbox in the 16700 block of Linden Ave. N.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: A man, who stole a cell phone from Sears, was found a few blocks away from the store with crack cocaine in a bag that was tied around his neck.
OCT 30
BURGLARY: An unknown suspect broke into a home, in the 300 block of N. 160th St., and stole $11,700 in cash and various electronics.
BURGLARY: Two Hispanic males, posing as sub-contractors for Seattle City Light, distracted an elderly man at his home while an accomplice stole his coin collection.
OCT 31
LARCENY: Someone stole an 18-pack of Rainier beer from 7-11.
