Shoreline Police Blotter June 18-27

The following blotter items and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

June 18

VANDALIZED MAILBOX: Someone broke the door off of a mailbox on the 16500 block of Linden Avenue N.

STOLEN WALLET AT MCDONALD’S: Someone stole a wallet from a jacket pocket that was hanging from a chair at the McDonald’s at 20227 Ballinger Way N.

BURGLARY: Juveniles were found in a house on the 16000 block of Wallingford Avenue. They were sent home with their parents.

June 19

DRUGS AND STOLEN ITEMS: Police found “massive amounts” of stolen property, drugs and drug money at the Rodeway Inn on the 14800 block of Aurora Avenue N. Police raided the room on a warrant.

June 20

FRAUD: Travel agency Hotwire.com called a resident of NE Perkins Way ask if she had made a $481.83 purchase. The victim said she hadn’t.

MAIL THEFT: Someone stole a check from a mailbox on the 15500 block of 12th Avenue NE.

STOLEN PURSE: A woman left her purse in the restroom of the Shoreline Library. When she returned, the purse was gone.

DRUG OVERDOSE: Police responded to a drug overdose at the Rodeway Inn.

BURGLARY: Someone stole a mixer from a residence on the 14500 block of 30th Avenue NE. The suspect apparently entered through an unlocked balcony.

June 21

DUI: Police arrested a man who was speeding on the 1000 block of NE 17th Street after the man registered .130 and .114 blood alcohol levels.

BREAKING INTO CARS: Employees discovered three vehicles that had been broken into at Maddy’s Tuning. Stereos and GPS units were missing.

SMASH AND GRAB: Someone broke the window of a car at Paramount Park and stole a purse from the passenger seat.

June 22

MOTORCYCLE DUI: A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI when she was caught driving a motorcycle on the sidewalk.

VEHICLE PROWL: Someone smashed the windows of a car on the 400 block of N 155th Street. Nothing was stolen.

FRAUD: Someone used a victim’s debit card number to make purchases in Texas, Tennessee, California and on several online companies.

BURGLARY: Someone kicked in the door of a residence on the 15800 block of 25th Avenue NE.

June 23

AUTO THEFT: A vehicle was reported missing from the 20100 block of Whitman Avenue N. The vehicle had been locked.

PHONE PRANKS: An unknown caller has been making repeated phone calls with strange recordings to person on the 18000 block of 9th Avenue NE.

STEALING FROM TOP FOODS: A man was charged with stealing food and alcohol from Top Foods on 175th Street.

June 24

LARCENY: A man reported a stolen laptop from a room at the Rodeway Inn Motel after he had returned from visiting a person police describe as a well-known prostitute.

BURGLARY: A man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home on the 1600 block of NE 169th Street but fled before police arrived.

ASSAULT: An apparently intoxicated man assaulted someone in a bus shelter at N 155 and Aurora.

FORGERY: Someone tried to pass off a fake $20 bill at Autozone on the 18200 block of Aurora Avenue N.

DUI: A vehicle was impounded after police stopped the driver who is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs.

June 25

DRUGS: Police arrested a driver at NE 18th Street and 10th Avenue NE when he was found with crack cocaine and prescription narcotics.

DRUNKENESS: Police took a person who was found on the 18000 block of 15th Avenue with a blood alcohol level of .437 to a medical facility.

DRINKING IN THE PARK: Police found several people in Innis Arden Park drinking afterhours.

June 26

NUDITY: Police responded to a person who was walking naked down the Interurban Trail.

June 27

ASSAULT: Two adult brothers were fighting on the 19500 block of Fremont Avenue N when the older one bit the younger one.
