Shoreline Restaurant Closed By King County

The Kenwood-area restaurant will reopen after health inspectors confirm that violations are fixed.

SHORELINE, WA - King County Public Health closed a Shoreline restaurant on Wednesday afternoon after marking a number of code violations, according to the county. Yu Shan, 14553 Bothell Way Northeast, will reopen once the violations are corrected, according to King County. The restaurant expects to reopen likely by Friday, according to workers.

According to King County, a health inspector found the following code violations:

  • Potentially hazardous foods at unsafe temperatures
  • Improper cooling of potentially hazardous food
  • Foods not protected from cross-contamination
  • Poor personal hygiene practice - handwashing
  • Equipment/utensils not properly sanitized
  • Failure to correct repeated violations

Despite the closure, Yu Shan has earned good reviews for its Northern Chinese cuisine, in particular its Peking duck.
