Shoreline Woman Uses Lottery Prize to Give to Others

Nicole Schultz of Shoreline said she read her winning Lottery ticket 15 times before believing the $50,000 prize was real

Nicole Schultz of Shoreline said she read her winning Lottery ticket 15 times before believing the $50,000 prize was real. She purchased the “Did I Win” Scratch ticket on April 25 from 7-Eleven (16506 5th Ave. NE) in Shoreline.

“First, I called everyone in my family. No one believed I actually won!” Schultz told Lottery officials. “They’re going to believe me soon – because I have some exciting surprises planned.”

Schultz explained she has a friend suffering from a terminal illness, and is thrilled to surprise him with a gift he has always wanted. “His favorite baseball team is the St. Louis Cardinals. I’d love nothing more than to take him to a game.”

She added that she is taking her 4-year-old son to Disneyland. “He will be so excited! Then, I have a big surprise for my other family members. In June, at our big family golf reunion, I’m going to treat everyone to the first round!”

The lifelong Washington resident is most excited about being able to treat others, and said she will continue to play the Lottery in hopes of winning again.
