Shorewood Wins 3A District 1 Boys Tennis Title

Doubles team of Miles Jamieson and Hunter Nelson win doubles championship

The Shorewood boys tennis team won the District 1 team championship Wednesday, adding on to their undefeated regular season and conference championship.

The T-birds' Miles Jamieson and Hunter Nelson won the doubles championship by defeating Andrew Fijalka and Evan Devries of Meadowdale 6-1, 6-4 to qualify for the WIAA 3A  State Tennis Tournament in May.  

Shorewood's Justin Oh placed 4th in singles, and Trevor Cronin and Isaac Brengelmann placed 4th in doubles to add more team points and clinch the team victory over Meadowdale, Shorecrest, Glacier Peak, Mountlake Terrace, Mount Vernon, Sedro Wooley and Ferndale.
