ISLANDER FC - EASTSIDE'S YOUTH SOCCER PROGRAM.....playing soccer is our goal and that's the story!
Islander FC is a small professional club located on Mercer Island. Entering into our 3rd season, one challenge we have overcome this past season; politics of youth soccer!Each player is treated with respect, regardless of their athletic ability.
Each player is allowed to learn at their own pace.
IFC Coaches are training the entire person, not just the "athlete."
Youth sports are a great opportunity for children to expand their self confidence, self awareness, leadership qualities, and for boys and girls to come together with the spirit of "belonging."
Although we are certainly excited when IFC players and teams achieve success within a game, it is not what drives our coaches or our club vision. Developing the players with the understanding of the technical and tactical structure of a proper academy curriculum is our standard. Our players learn the game of soccer from a professional training program that will instill the passion and love of the game for years and years to come.
During December we have a week of OPEN SESSIONS for players and families to come out and observe our coaches, curriculum and overall environment.
We do not discriminate against players for any reason. We have scholarships available for those who want to play but cannot afford the fees.
