Superintendent Walker, Deputy Harris Accept Salary Freezes
Compensation to be held at 2010-2011 levels, $173,038 for Walker.

Shoreline School District superintendent Sue Walker and deputy superintendent Marcia Harris agreed to a voluntary freezes in salary for the 2011-2012 school year earlier this month.
Teachers and classified employees are facing possible pay cuts as K-12 education funding was slashed in the state budget, which was signed Wednesday by Gov. Chris Gregoire.
Walker's three year contract runs from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2014, although the freeze is only for next year. Harris agreed to a one-year deal from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.Â

Walker's annual salary is $173,038, and increased $8,276 or 4.42 percent last year. She will be reimbursed $25 more for a total of $50 a month for smart phone use next year.
Harris base salary is $138,621.
