Symetra Employees Give Back in Shoreline during Symetra Week of Service

"This annual tradition gives us a chance to ... make a positive impact in our communities through hands-on service."—Symetra CEO Tom Marra

Wearing bright green ‘Symetra Volunteer’ T-shirts, six Symetra employees from the company’s Bellevue headquarters office recently took a break from their workday to give back in Shoreline — contributing more than 25 volunteer hours on behalf of Hopelink at the Shoreline Foodbank as part of the eighth-annual Symetra Week of Service (June 13–17 ).

Symetra provides employee benefits, annuities and life insurance through a national network of benefit consultants, financial institutions, and independent agents and advisors. The Bellevue-based employees helped stock and distribute food at the foodbank, located on Westminster Way.

“Symetra is recognized as a company with a strong volunteer spirit. While we’re engaged in supporting nonprofits year ‘round, the Symetra Week of Service spotlights our employees’ involvement in and commitment to the communities in which we live and work,” noted Symetra CEO Tom Marra. “This annual tradition gives us a chance to connect with our colleagues, join forces to help our nonprofit partners who do so much good and make a positive impact in our communities through hands-on service.”
