Vacancy On Shoreline City Council After Salomon Senate Win

SHORELINE, WA - Deputy Mayor Jesse Salomon will soon step down to serve as the new state Senator for Legislative District 32. So local residents are welcome to apply for his Position 6 spot on the Council.

Salomon's seat will be vacant on Jan. 28, and anyone interested in replacing him should apply by end of day on Jan. 3. To be considered, you only need one year of residency in the city and be able to attend regular Council meetings.

Salomon beat longtime state Sen. Maralyn Chase in the November election. Although they are both Democrats, Salomon won the support elected officials like King County Executive Dow Constantine and, of course, Mayor Will Hall. Salomon first won a seat on the Shoreline Council in 2011.
