Why Gas Prices In the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Area May Increase Soon
Retail gas prices have been increasing on average across the U.S. throughout December, according to AAA.

SHORELINE, WA - Gas prices are on the rise, and that trend may continue through the first half of 2017, the travel group AAA said on Tuesday.
The reason: an agreement between countries in OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) and other oil-producing nations to limit oil production to 1.8 million barrels per day over the first six months of 2017. AAA said that recent increases are a reflection of markets reacting to the impending restriction of oil production.
Gas prices along the West Coast and in Hawaii are already the highest in the U.S. The average price of a gallon of unleaded in Washington state is $2.61 per gallon, which is 16 cents higher than one year ago, and 33 cents higher than the current U.S. average. The cheapest unleaded gas in the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park area as of Tuesday was at Costco at $2.27 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.
