• Motorcyclist killed after crash in South Hill area, authorities say (thenewstribune.com) — A motorcyclist died after a car-versus-motorcycle collision at 144th Street East and 94th Avenue East in South Hill Wednesday afternoon, and drivers are being warned to expect lane blockages for several hours. Central Pierce Fire & Rescue crews responded around 4:14 p.m. and performed CPR, but authorities later confirmed the rider did not survive. No other injuries were reported.
• 12-year-old among 7 in fight over skateboard that left Puyallup bus driver pepper-sprayed (king5.com) — An 18-year-old faces multiple assault charges after pepper spray hit several people, including a bus driver, during a fight between teens at the South Hill Mall Transit Center. Police say a dispute over a skateboard escalated on and off a Pierce Transit bus, with seven youths ages 12 to 18 involved. Juveniles were released to parents and banned from Pierce Transit property for a year.
