1 Dead In Downtown Spokane Shooting: Police
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday night in the downtown Spokane area.

SPOKANE, WA - A man was shot in killed in downtown Spokane Tuesday night, and the shooter readily identified himself to police. The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of 2nd Avenue and Post Street. The victim died of his wounds at the scene.
According to Spokane police, the shooter called 911 to identify himself, and was detained at the scene of the shooting by police. Police also located the gun involved in the shooting. Officers were able to respond to the scene within 3 minutes, but the victim died before he could be taken to the hospital.
