  1. The Spokane County Board of Commissioners has passed a balanced budget for 2022 after a public hearing for the 2022 Spokane County Budget. The Commissioners followed a process, laid out in a resolution passed in 2017 to provide more transparency to the public about the Spokane County budget, which involved opportunities for public testimony on staff presentations and proposals.   2. One of Spokane's most historic general stores, The White Elephant, has officially been torn down. The family-owned business provided residents with items ranging from toys to sporting goods for 75 years officially shut down in June 2020. A Panda Express will be placed in the White Elephant's original location on N. Division Street. (KREM.com)
  3. Spokane police and Spokane Public Schools investigated a potentially threatening social media post circulating in the North Central High School community. Both parties have determined thre threat was not credible. (KHQ Right Now)
