Here are the top stories in Spokane today:

  1. The Washington State Department of Commerce has announced they will be supporting dozens of housing projects across the Evergreen state with a historic grant. This round of grants will support 40 affordable housing projects in at least 16 counties across the state. Three housing projects in Spokane have been approved for the grant. (KREM.com)
  2. Spokane County detectives are investigating a string a burglaries in which the suspect is believed to have used a stolen truck to bulldoze into several businesses. The incidents happened on Dec. 11 at businesses along Trent, Pines and Montgomery. The truck was a GMC Sierra taken from Cascade Windows on Montgomery. (FOX 28 Spokane)
  3. Toby Miller, a Spokane electrician, is facing $144,000 in fines for installing car chargers without permits or safety inspections. According to a press release from the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I), the investigation began in September. (KREM.com)
