Here are the top stories in Spokane today:
- More than 800 Kaiser Permanente patients received expired Moderna vaccines in Washington last month, including some who received the vaccine at several locations in Spokane. The vaccines were given between Oct. 25 and Oct. 27. It happened at multiple locations in Washington, including Riverfront, Kendall Yards, Veradale, and Lidgerwood offices in Spokane. Affected patients are being contacted and there's no reason to believe the doses given are unsafe or ineffective. (KXLY Spokane)
- Spokane police were able to identify the person who allegedly made threats and forced a shutdown of Spokane libraries. The individual was found to have a history of mental health episodes. They have been apprehended and taken to a medical facility for a mental health evaluation. (KHQ Right Now)
- Thousands of electric customers in Spokane and North Idaho lost power as high winds moved into the area Monday afternoon. (KREM.com)
- After a two-year hiatus, the Spokane Lilac Festival will open the holidays with a parade and fireworks downtown this weekend. (KXLY Spokane)
