2. Spokane councilmember questions ombuds report following 2025 immigration protest (everettpost.com) — Spokane residents are seeing renewed debate at City Hall over how police handled a 2025 immigration protest, as councilmembers pressed Police Ombuds Bart Logue about his report's 26 recommendations. The discussion centers on SPD's legal authority, crowd-control tactics, and how future protests in Spokane should be managed under Washington law and local policy.
