Here are the top stories today in Spokane:
- The City of Spokane announced on Friday the lowering of flags to half-staff in honor of the nation's fallen firefighters and Washington State Trooper Detective Eric Gunderson.
Spokane Mayor Nadine Woodward ordered all flags at all city facilities to be lowered to half-staff on Friday to coincide with President Joe Biden's directive, as well as for a second time today coincide with Governor Jay Inslee's directive. The mayor encourages any members of the community with a flag outside their home or business to join. (KREM.com) - Sandpoint Police Department detectives are seeking the public's help in locating a missing 13-year old girl who is believed to be in the Spokane area. Elizabeth "Rose" Richey was last seen at her Sandpoint home the night of Sept. 25, according to a news release. Richey reportedly left sometime during the night with an 18-year old white man, identified only as Cameron, who lives in the Blanchard, Idaho area. Anyone who may have information on Richey's whereabouts is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency immediately. (The Spokesman Review)
