  1. Spokane Valley city officials sent out a survey assessing the quality and condition of the streets and roads in and around the community in order to find out what community members think of the condition of the road, as well as how future funding could help certain projects. Projects the city of Spokane Valley look to take care of include pavement preservation and street maintenance. Both these efforts include restoring the surface layer of pavement to prevent potholes, snow plowing, fixing traffic signs, and sidewalk repair. (KREM.com)
  2. The school bus driver shortage hits critical stage in Spokane as of Thursday afternoon. Dozens of affected kids were reassigned to different buses, but many were still stuck at Linwood for another half hour. The COVID-19 pandemic is the main culprit. Some eligible employees elected to take advantage of enhanced unemployment benefits rather than work. Other prospective drivers, many of them retirees, are reluctant to expose themselves to potential infection. (Walla Walla Union-Bulletin)
  3. The 13-year-old boy with autism who went missing from his home on Sunday is now safely reunited with his parents. (FOX 28 Spokane)
  4. A 33-year-old woman Spokane woman is charged with a DUI after crashing her car while a 10-year-old child was inside. (KXLY Spokane)
  5. Gonzaga University improves security measures after a was class interrupted by an unarmed man who yelled abusive and threatening language involving race and gender toward the faculty member, a woman of color. (KREM.com)
