Here are the top stories in Spokane today:
- The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne, Australia, have chosen Spokane as the site of the first-ever U.S. destination to present "DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition Journey from Sketch to Screen." Created by ACMI, in partnership with DreamWorks Animation, the exhibition offers the first-ever in-depth exploration of the studio's collaborative and visionary approach to animation, art, technology and storytelling. The Spokane-based show will run from March 19–Sept. 5, 2022. (Walla Walla Union-Bulletin)
- A mass COVID-19 testing site at Spokane Falls Community College is set to open on Monday. The Washington State Department of Health contracted with Discovery Health to operate the sites and will offer testing via drive-thru. A second location will open soon close to Spokane Valley, but a specific site and opening date have not yet been announced. (KXLY Spokane)
- The Greenwood Memorial Terrace is set to transform into a fall family carnival on Saturday, with the annual Great Pumpkin Race kicking off in the afternoon. (KXLY Spokane)
- Leslie Odom Jr. will be performing to a sold-out crowd with the Spokane Symphony on Friday at Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox, in a collaboration with Whitworth University. (The Spokesman Review)
- Amazon has started operations at its new air gateway at the Spokane International Airport on Thursday, marking Amazon Air's second location in Washington. (KREM.com)
