The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Spokane.
Happy Wednesday, people of Spokane! Here's everything going on around town today.
First, today's weather:
An afternoon shower. High: 63 Low: 38.
Here are the top three stories today in Spokane:
- A mother and her 15-year-old were arrested in connection to a drive-by shooting case, according to the Spokane Police Department. The incident happened on Mar. 17 near Franklin Park with thankfully nobody getting injured. According to the people inside the home, a car drove by the home two separate times while shooting out of the car's window. (KXLY Spokane)
- Spokane Public Schools is considering several options to fix the bus driver shortage. The most likely solution will be making changes to the bus routes that would increase the walking distance for students up to 0.5 miles. The district is also looking at alternative transportation options, extended bus arrival times, and a possible partnership with STA. (KXLY Spokane)
- Spokane's Indian Canyon Golf Course will open for the season on Mar. 26, 2022. The course has been chosen multiple times by Golf Digest as one of the top 25 public courses in the United States. Click the link for tee times and to book a reservation. (Press Release Desk)
