Drunk Driver Hits Cop Parked Along U.S. 2: State Police
The driver who hit the state police patrol car was arrested on a DUI charge.

REARDAN, WA - A Washington State Patrol officer's vehicle was hit by a drunk driver Wednesday afternoon along U.S. 2 near Reardan, according to state police. The officer was pulled over along eastbound U.S. 2 on the shoulder during a traffic stop when the crash happened.
The officer was standing outside of his patrol SUV finishing the traffic stop when the drunk driver sideswiped both the state patrol vehicle and the vehicle that was pulled over.
Thankfully, there were no injuries, according to state police. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
