- Downtown Spokane will be hosting its third annual Fall Fest as a two-day event. It will be held this Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m on 10 S. Howard St. Each portion of downtown will have different attractions, ranging from an urban pumpkin patch to a petting zoo and beer garden. (Bulletin)
- Spokane police have asked for assistance in finding a missing 11-year-old girl. Jerilynn Guthrie was reported missing on Wednesday, Sept. 29. from the area of Normandie Street and Francis Avenue. She is about 5-foot-3 and 130 pounds with shoulder-length pink-tinged hair with purple tips. Anyone with information can call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233. (KXLY Spokane)
- Spokane investors have acquired the historic Bennett Block building on the northeast corner of Howard Street and Main Avenue. (The Spokesman Review)
- Gonzaga University is experiencing an increase in vandalism and destruction of property around campus including stolen items. (Bulletin)
