- Fallen Spokane hero Lt. Cody Traber was honored by firefighters, other first responders, and the community on Saturday morning. Traber worked with Spokane County Fire District 9 for 18 years and was killed in the line of duty on Aug. 26. The loving father leaves behind his wife, Allysin, and four young children. - The Coeur d' Alene Tribe purchased a 48-acre parcel of land located in Spokane County, one of the last undeveloped stretches of Hangman Creek. Previous plans for the property were to create a new district center, more homes, and additional commercial establishments on a 98-acre property in Latah Valley. The tribe is planning to enhance it for ecological value in a way that promotes the return of salmon. (KREM.com)
- After an 18-month closure, the Bing Crosby House Museum on Gonzaga University's campus reopened on Saturday afternoon. (KREM.com)
- The Spokane County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that one person is dead after an apparent argument turned into a shooting at the Ramada on Sullivan in the Spokane Valley; no suspect has been located at this time. (KHQ Right Now)
- A man accused of beating and hospitalizing his mother has been located and arrested by the Spokane Valley Police Department. (KXLY Spokane)
