Transient Man Arrested For Setting Fires Along Fish Lake Trail
Police said that several fires were set along the Fish Lake Trail on Sunday afternoon.

SPOKANE, WA - Spokane police reported Sunday afternoon that several fires were intentionally set along the Fish Lake Trail in southwest Spokane. The fires were located near Highway 195 and West 16th Avenue, which is just a few blocks south of I-90.
Later on Sunday, police arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with the fires. The man is believed to be a transient who lives near the trail, according to Spokane police. The suspect was booked into the county jail on suspicion of second-degree arson. The suspect is known to police and has been arrested for similar incidents in the past, according to Spokane police.
There were four fires set in total. The fires were spotted by an off-duty Spokane police officer who was driving in the area along Highway 195. The fires were small and were extinguished quickly, and there was no damage reported to nearby homes.
