Here are the top three stories in Spokane today:
- A Spokane physician has decided to travel to the border of Poland and Ukraine to administer aid to those displaced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Spokane's Dr. Kyle Varner will be bringing donated medical supplies with him to the border. His fellow physicians at Providence have volunteered to cover his shifts while he is in Europe. - A shooting at an apartment south of Spokane's downtown has left one man dead. Spokane Police Department responded to the 1100 block of West Seventh Avenue in the early hours of Wednesday morning to investigate a report of shots fired. According to authorities, no suspect has been named but they are directing anyone with information related to the shooting to contact Crime Check. (The Spokesman Review)
- Spokane's Interstate 90 overpasses were filled with Freedom Rally supporters on Wednesday morning. The rally departed for Montana after spending the night in Spokane. According to a copy of the rally's travel plans, the group will eventually end up in Washington D.C. (KHQ Right Now)
