Here are the top stories in Spokane today:
- Rogers High School went into a lockdown after a crime was committed outside of the school's campus, according to school officials. Spokane police said the incident that caused the lockdown was a drug bust operation nearby. (KHQ)
- After two decades under the Worthy family's ownership, a new company will acquire Davenport Hotels in Spokane. KSL Capital Partners, LLC (KSL) announced on Tuesday that one of its affiliates will acquire the hotels from Walt and Karen Worthy. Terms of the off-market transaction, which is expected to close within the next 30 days, will not be disclosed, according to a press release. (KREM)
- The Spokane City Council approved millions of dollars in additional funds for the city's fire department. This decision came after the department went well over its yearly budget. The special budget ordinance was originally set at $5 million to cover the fire department's needs. (KREM)
