🌱 Injured Moose In Cul-De-Sac + Spokane Civics Theatre Auditions
Find out what's going on in Spokane with Patch's daily newsletter.
Morning, neighbors! It's me again, Sean Peek, your host of the Spokane Daily.
First, today's weather:
Times of clouds and sun. High: 53 Low: 39.
Here are the top stories today in Spokane:
- An injured moose and her calves have sought refuge in a quiet Spokane cul-de-sac. The residents of Devonshire Ct. just off of Hatch Rd. have expressed concern over the moose's well-being. Over the course of the week, neighbors have left out water for the family. While the mother is mostly immobile, the calves will frequently graze on neighborhood shrubs and greenery. All three have remained fairly docile at this point in time. (KHQ Right Now)
- Fancy yourself a performer? On Nov. 14 and Nov. 15, the Spokane Civics Theatre is preparing to hold auditions for their first play of the season. The play, titled "The Play that Goes Wrong," is a hilarious slapstick comedy about how a group's latest production quickly turns into an unraveling disaster. The show will premiere on the Margot and Robert Ogden Main Stage on Jan. 28th and show through Feb. 20th. (KHQ Right Now)
- Patients at Shriners Hospitals for Children rolled into Halloween in style with their innovative costumes. (KREM.com)
- You may have seen Spokane Transportation Authority's electric buses cruising around town this past week — but you probably didn't hear them. (KXLY Spokane)
- The school formerly known as Sheridan Elementary has been renamed Frances Scott Elementary; the name change honors a Spokane educator and civil rights champion who grew up just a few blocks away from the school. (KXLY Spokane)
