- Kitty Cantina is among the top ten finalists for Greater Good Charities' annual Feline Foster Heroes Contest and community members can help them win! Kitty Cantina is a feline sanctuary in Spokane. The winner of the contest will receive a $5,000 cash grant for their local animal welfare organization. (KREM.com)
- The Spokane Police Department arrested two additional people they say were involved in a deadly shooting over Thanksgiving weekend. Tiffany L. Reynolds, 27, and Manuel M. Silva, 29, are accused of taking part in a drug deal and robbery that ended with the death of Aaron Houghton. (KXLY Spokane)
- An HVAC company based in Spokane Valley is facing federal sexual harassment charges. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed charges on Tuesday against Air Control Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc., which does business as Air Control Heating & Electric, Inc. The lawsuit alleges that Maxim Johnston, the founder, owner, and president of Air Control, "sexually harassed female employees on a near-daily basis since 2010." (KREM.com)

- Spokane Public Schools is sending their thanks to everyone who took part in their gift card drive supporting students living without a parent or guardian. The Homeless Education and Resource Team received: 40 new bikes and helmets for students, $800 in McDonald's Happy Meal Coupons, $10,810 in cash, checks, and online donations to the HEART Trust Account, and an INCREDIBLE $28,055 (and still growing) in gift cards to stores and restaurants.
