Magnitude 3.2 Quake Hits Eastern Washington
The earthquake hit just before 1 p.m., according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.

WATERVILLE, WA - A magnitude 3.2 quake struck Eastern Washington between Wenatchee and Chelan Monday afternoon. The quake hit just before 1 p.m. Monday near the city of Waterville, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.
Although not a large quake, Monday's 3.2 was the largest quake recently in the state. Historically, the area around Waterville near the Columbia River is seismically active. The largest quake in that area was a magnitude 4.3 in 1984, according to the PNSN.
Waterville is located along U.S. 2 about 10 miles east of the Columbia River.
