Here are the top stories today in Spokane:
- Spokane business Fo(u)r Roots, LLC, will be offering free emergency food boxes to local families affected by COVID-19 in Coeur d'Alene on Wednesday. The company, a woman- and veteran-operated business, provides the food boxes with help from a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that was awarded to Coeur d'Alene, according to a news release. (The Spokesman-Review)
- Spokane police arrested a driver for DUI on Wednesday night after police say they left a trail of crash scenes on the South Hill. The driver is suspected of causing three crashes and driving on the sidewalk while on the way home from a Christmas party. (KREM.com)
- The City of Spokane opened up a questionnaire today to get input on upcoming pedestrian and biking projects along the Division corridor. This marks the beginning of Phase 2 of the Division Connects project, which seeks to make commuting easier for those without access to a vehicle, or for those who would like greener options that are more reliable.
