Here are the top stories today in Spokane:

  1. The Spokane Tribe Casino recently completed a 20,000-square-foot expansion along U.S. Highway 2. This $30 million expansion doubles the size of the current casino floor and consists of gaming areas, such as sports betting, poker, dining and non-smoking gaming, officials said. The recent expansion has brought in 110 direct casino positions, so far, not including vendors and construction jobs, according to Casino General Manager Javier De La Rosa. An official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place Nov. 23. (Cheney Free Press)
  2. Pallets stacked high with cases of hard seltzer kept shrinking Wednesday as people poured into No-Li Brewhouse to support less fortunate kids. The brewery is selling its Day Fade Lemonade Huckleberry Hard Seltzer for $25 a case along with a free pint glass and Gonzaga t-shirt. All proceeds go directly to charity. No-Li's goal is to raise $15k for Spokane Toys for Tots and $10k for Spokane Quaranteam, a non profit which has helped keep restaurants open and stomachs full during the pandemic. (KREM.com)
  3. A house that has been abandoned for about a year went up in flames near the intersection of 37th Ave. and Smith St. on the South Hill area of Spokane. (FOX 28 Spokane)
  4. The 1985 remodeled Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Spokane Riverfront Park reopened Thursday for Veterans Day after a year delay on the project due to the pandemic. (KREM.com)
  5. Take a break from your holiday shopping and enjoy a glass of wine (or two or three) from local tasting rooms as part of the upcoming Holiday Wine Walk. (KXLY Spokane)
