Here are the top stories in Spokane today:

1. A Spokane Valley family walked into their home Monday to find a stranger wearing white face paint inside. The Spokane County Sheriff's Office said it started when a man called 911 to report he and his younger sister came home and found Justin Watson, 40, sitting at their kitchen table. The caller told investigators Watson had two airsoft guns and two cases of beer with him at their table. Investigators then went into the living room where they found Watson standing in white face paint and wearing one of the homeowner's clothes. Deputies ordered Watson to get on the ground but instead, he sat on the couch. He was taken into custody without incident. (KXLY Spokane)
2. Caravel Autism Health is celebrating the grand opening of its newest therapy center for children with autism. The new center located at 11909 North Division St. is designed to meet the unique needs of children with autism and their families. The clinic is led by professionals who specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis therapy (ABA). ABA therapy is evidence-based treatment that helps children with autism to develop skills, create connections and gain confidence, and it is recognized for its effectiveness. (KREM.com)
3. Work on the water main on 14th Street was set to begin Wednesday, Oct. 27, and may last through Nov. 1 or 2.(FOX 28 Spokane)
4. The Spokane County unemployment rate fell to 3.5 percent in September. (KXLY Spokane)
5. 'Dreamin' Wild', a movie starring some big names in Hollywood, including Zooey Deschanel and Casey Affleck, has begun filming on Spokane's South Hill. (KREM.com)
