🌱Threats Against Schools + Historic Building To Be Demolished

Here are the top stories in Spokane today:

  1. Spokane Public Schools said it is aware of a threat circulating on social media regarding several schools in the district. Spokane Police said they have investigated and determined the threats were not credible. Police confirmed at least one threat was made Wednesday toward Rogers High School. (KXLY Spokane)
  2. The historic Chancery building has sat in its place of glory on Riverside and Monroe for 121 years. Centennial Real Estate Investments announced plans on Wednesday to demolish the historic building. The plan is to replace it with a new apartment complex. Historic preservation activists tried to save the Chancery building but because it wasn't on the Spokane Historic Register, there's nothing to keep Centennial from tearing it down. (KXLY Spokane)
  3. Major Crimes detectives are investigating the discovery of a deceased body in the area of N. Hayford Road and W. Balmer Road Thursday morning. (KHQ Right Now)
  4. King Beverage is planning a new warehouse with accompanying office space on a 20-acres parcel purchased from Spokane Airport Board for nearly two million dollars. Although the specific address is yet to be determined, the warehouse is set to be over 200,000 square feet. (Cheney Free Press)
  5. "The Nutcracker" will be performed Thursday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 5. by the Spokane Symphony & State Street Ballet. (Spokane Public Radio)
