Two Students Stab Principal With 'Spear-Like Weapon' In Walla Walla: Report

The stabbing happened Thursday afternoon at College Place High School in Walla Walla.

WALLA WALLA, WA - Two high school students allegedly attacked and stabbed a middle school principal in Walla Walla on Thursday afternoon with a "stick or spear-like object," according to reports. The attack happened at a school campus that contains a high school and middle school. John Sager Middle School principal Dale Stopperan suffered a cut to the side of his face, according to the Union-Bulletin, but was in stable condition.

Police responded to the school around 1:45 p.m. Thursday, and the campus was placed on lockdown. Police cleared the campus and let students go by 3 p.m.

The students allegedly involved in the stabbing were taken into custody. It's unclear what motivated the incident.
