Wildfire Near Upper Goose Lake Prompts Emergency Evacuation
A large wildfire is burning near Upper Goose Lake south of Moses Lake.

OTHELLO, WA - The Grant County Sheriff's Office issued an evacuation notice Sunday night to anyone in the area of Upper Goose Lake a large, active wildfire in the area. The fire is burning in a rural area south of Moses Lake in the vicinity of the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge; no homes were believed to be at risk from the fire.

Meanwhile, Washington State Patrol closed both directions of I-90 near Vantage due to a brush fire. That fire is also in Grant County.
