Strong pitching and a clutch seventh-inning hit kept the team in the winner's bracket and gives local families another big game to watch on Friday.
• Tacoma Musical Playhouse announces new executive producer taking over in Sept. (thenewstribune.com) — A Tacoma native with deep ties to the South Sound arts scene, including work at University Place Presbyterian Church, is stepping in as Tacoma Musical Playhouse's new executive producer on Sept. 8. Lexi Barnett plans to honor the late founder's legacy while expanding opportunities for local theater lovers and families across the region.
