2013 University Place Spring Plant Show and Sale

Attention Gardeners and Shutterbugs. If the final days of winter are dragging you down, let Spring's explosion of color help lift your spirits and be a part of something beautiful!

Held on the last weekend in April - the 27th & 28th 2013 - at City Hall, the Spring Flower Show and Plant Sale celebrates the colors of spring in a two-day event sponsored by the Friends of Homestead Park and the Peninsula Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society. This annual event is the kickoff to the spring gardening season and, while it includes a wide variety of roses, fuchsias, dahlias and ferns, it is also one of the largest Rhododendron truss displays on the West Coast.

Returning this year to our famous Rhododendron Truss exhibit put on by the Peninsula Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society is our 2nd Annual Photography Show of flowers, woodlands and garden scenes by local photographers. Both shows are open to the public to submit entries. Bring your trusses and photos to Homestead Park after 11:00 am on Friday, April 26th. Both shows will be judged by a People's Choice system and prizes will be awarded. For more info on the photography exhibit please contact Chris at mistymisschristie@yahoo.com.
