Curtis Boys Suffer Lacrosse Upset

The Vikings gave up 9-7 lead with less than four minutes remaining. They've now lost two in a row.

Midfielder Alex Bus scored with 3:17 remaining in the game to ignite a three-goal run that gave Northshore a 10 – 9, come-from-behind road upset of Curtis on Thursday.

With Curtis leading 9 – 7 on their home field, Bus’s goal sparked a trio of goals by Northshore over the next three and a half minutes that gave the squad its fifth win of the season.  Just 53 seconds later, Kyle Barrett tied the game. With just four seconds to go, Bus dodged two Curtis defenders after grabbing a clearing pass and fired a hard-to-handle bouncer between Curtis goaltender Tony Nigh’s legs for the game winner.

The goal was the 29th of the season for the Bothell High School senior.
