Curtis Falls Short In Showdown With Bainbridge

The Vikings' 14-5 loss Tuesday gave the Spartnas sole possession of the Northeast Conference lead. Colby Carr netted two goals in the loss.

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND – Alexander Rabin delivered a hat trick to propel undefeated Bainbridge  past Curtis for sole possession of first in the Northeast Conference with a 14 – 5 boys high school lacrosse win Tuesday at Bainbridge High School.

The win advanced the Spartans to a perfect 11-0-0 on the season, while Curtis slipped to 8-4-0 overall. 

The Spartans took charge early holding the Vikings to just a goal in both the first and second quarters to take a 7 – 2 lead into half. In the third, Bainbridge netted two more goals and closed with a five-goal fourth quarter to close out the game.

Along with Rabin, top Spartan performances came from Cameron Parker, Alex Crane and Jacob Goodman each with 2 goals. For Curtis, Colby Carr netted a pair of goals and grabbed seven ground balls, and Tony Nigh had 16 saves in goal. 

Bainbridge (11-0-0) next faces Issaquah (10-5-0), Saturday, in a 7 p.m. start at Issaquah High School. Curtis (8-4-0) next faces Northshore (4-8-0), Thursday in an 8 p.m. start at home.
