Curtis Girls Suffer Heartbreaking Loss To Bainbridge
A Spartan goal with 29 seconds remaining in the game dropped the Lady Viks below .500.

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND – Riley McCormick-Dekker scored the winning goal with just 29 second remaining in regulation to give Bainbridge an 18 – 17 victory over Curtis, Monday at Bainbridge High School.
The game-winner broke a 17 – 17 tie and evened the Spartans’ record at 5 – 5.
Bainbridge built an 11 – 8 lead by the half and went on to score seven more goals in the second to secure the win.
The game-winner was the second goal of the night for McCormick-Dekker, who along with three goals each from Sallie Marx, Julie Isher and Mo Greason led the Spartans’ scoring attack.
For Curtis, Tori Gollinger had six goals and Sloan Barton netted five goals.
Bainbridge (5-5-0) played Kennedy (6-3-1) tonight at home. Curtis (5-6-0) next faces North Kitsap (2-6-0), Friday, in a 6 p.m. start at Curtis High School in University Place.
