Duck Daze 2018 Kicks Off Saturday In University Place

The city's 18th Duck Daze will feature the popular parade, games, a car show, and much more.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - University Place's 2018 Duck Daze festival kicks off Saturday, featuring one of the most popular parades in Pierce County - and much more.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. near the intersection of Bridgeport Way and 27th Street West. The parade will span 10 blocks, ending near Homestead Park. Line up early along the parade route for a chance to catch candy and other prizes tossed from the parade's signature quacky floats.

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., West Pierce Station 31 (near Drexler and 37th Street West) will hold an open house. There will be refreshments, and firefighters will be selling safety gear for kids like life vests and bike helmets. The station will also be accepting donations for local food banks.
