Learn the rhythm, timing, tempo that proficiently carry you through solid mechanics every pitch from the players who have experienced/accomplished it at the highest levels of professional baseball.
Note: We will not be throwing for hours upon hours, instruction is based on a system that incorporates drill work/lectures and actuall throwing drills. We protect arms!
Both camps include the following information but differ by age/current skill level and physical maturity: Incorporating lower body and upper body into throwing, full pitching mechanics breakdown. Getting through the correct checkpoints of mechanics consistently and accurately. Lower body/core strength along with solid throwing mechanics allows for players to learn strike zone command. Solid throwing mechanics and physically maturity leads into throwing breaking pitches (curveball, slider, cutter).Throwing a breaking ball is not determined by age, its determined by solid/consitant throwing mechanics that allows the palyer to get behind/over the baseball through release point. If players cannot do this, they put themselves in a position of serious risk for catastrophic elbow/shoulder injuries. Successfully developing a change-up gives you a good idea of when the player will be ready for learning a breaing ball. Velocity is a bi-product of solid throwing/pitching mechanics along with core/lower body/arm strength/flexibility.
